Buffalo Bore Ammunition 45 Colt (Long Colt) 225 Grain Hard Cast Lead Wadcutter Anti-Personnel Box of 20

The Buffalo Bore Ammunition 45 Colt (Long Colt) 225 Grain Hard Cast Lead Wadcutter Anti-Personnel Box of 20 is a specialized defensive load built around a wide, flat-nosed wadcutter bullet. Buffalo Bore designed this loading specifically for close-range personal defense rather than hunting. As a result, shooters get a wide, immediately effective wound channel without the deep over-penetration risk of some hunting loads. This loading suits home defense, backcountry personal protection, and close-range defensive use.

About This Buffalo Bore Anti-Personnel 45 Colt Long Colt Load

Buffalo Bore casts this 225 grain bullet with a wide, flat wadcutter nose instead of a pointed or rounded profile. That flat nose creates a larger, more immediately damaging wound channel than a round-nose bullet of the same weight. The hard cast alloy keeps the bullet’s shape and diameter consistent through soft tissue. Buffalo Bore markets this specific loading for personal defense rather than for hunting game. Liberty Anno Supply stocks this loading in 20-round boxes for defensive use. That attention to detail matters when choosing ammunition for a hunt or for carry.
