Underwood Ammunition 40 Super 220 Grain Hard Cast Flat Nose Box of 20

Underwood Ammunition 40 Super 220 Grain Hard Cast Flat Nose Box of 20 pushes a heavy, hard cast flat nose bullet for deep, straight-line penetration. The hardened lead alloy resists deformation on impact. This bullet drives through barriers and heavy game without losing its shape. Underwood loads this ammunition to the 40 Super’s high-pressure spec, which gives the 220 grain bullet serious momentum for its weight.

Hard Cast Deep Penetration

As a result, hunters and woods-carry shooters who want maximum penetration from a compact pistol often choose this loading. The flat nose profile also cuts a wide, straight wound channel rather than tapering off like a round nose bullet. In addition, hard cast bullets leave less fouling in the bore than soft lead, which keeps cleanup simpler after a range day.

About This Underwood Ammunition 40 Super 220 Grain Hard Cast Flat Nose Box of 20 Load

Underwood loads this cartridge for shooters who already own a 40 Super pistol and want options beyond standard hollow points. Naturally, this heavy-for-caliber loading produces noticeably more recoil than lighter 40 Super offerings, so expect a stout push. Therefore, function-test this load in your specific pistol before you rely on it for field use.

Liberty Anno Supply stocks a range of specialty ammunition for less common, high-performance handgun cartridges. All loads follow SAAMI pressure and dimensional standards for safe, reliable function.
