Hornady LEVERevolution Ammunition 45 Colt (Long Colt) 225 Grain FTX Box of 20

The Hornady LEVERevolution Ammunition 45 Colt (Long Colt) 225 Grain FTX Box of 20 was engineered specifically for lever-action rifles chambered in traditional revolver cartridges. Hornady’s soft polymer tip is safe to load nose-to-primer in a tubular magazine. As a result, shooters get dramatically better ballistics from a lever gun without sacrificing safety. This loading suits lever-action hunting, revolver hunting, and dual rifle-and-revolver 45 Colt setups.

About This Hornady LEVERevolution 45 Colt Long Colt Load

Hornady built the FTX bullet with a soft elastomer tip seated in a hollow point cavity. That tip flexes safely under magazine spring pressure but still initiates reliable expansion on impact. The polymer tip also improves the bullet’s aerodynamic shape compared to a flat-nose lever gun bullet. That improved shape gives noticeably flatter trajectories and more retained energy at distance. Liberty Anno Supply stocks this loading in 20-round boxes for hunters and lever-gun shooters alike. That attention to detail matters when choosing ammunition for a hunt or for carry.

Why Shooters Choose Hornady LEVERevolution 45 Colt Long Colt

Lever-action shooters have historically had to accept flat-nose bullets and their poor aerodynamics as a tradeoff for magazine safety. This LEVERevolution loading removes that tradeoff entirely. Shooters who run a 45 Colt lever gun alongside a revolver appreciate ammunition that performs well in both platforms. Every round meets SAAMI pressure and dimensional specifications for safe, reliable function. Browse Liberty Anno Supply’s full 45 Colt ammunition selection.
