Grizzly Ammunition 500 S&W Magnum 500 Grain Lead Long Flat Nose Gas Check Box of 20

The Grizzly 500 S&W Magnum 500gr Lead Long Flat Nose is a heavyweight cast bullet load built by a small Montana ammunition maker for serious penetration. Grizzly Cartridge Company specializes in hard-hitting handgun loads for dangerous game defense and big-game hunting. It is popular with Alaska guides. It is a proven pick for Alaska trips. Overall, it remains a trusted option among revolver shooters. Ultimately, the right choice depends on your specific hunt.

Why Choose a Long Flat Nose Gas Check Bullet

This bullet’s extended flat nose profile is designed to punch a wide, straight channel through thick muscle and bone rather than deflecting. The gas check base protects the soft lead alloy from melting under high pressure, which keeps the bore cleaner. Grizzly loads every round to SAAMI-checked pressure limits, referenced at saami.org. Grizzly Cartridge builds this ammunition in small runs. It is a proven Alaska guide favorite. Meanwhile, ammunition supplies can shift quickly during hunting season. Specifically, this option suits big-bore revolver shooters well.
