Grizzly Ammunition 44 Special 260 Grain Cast Performance Lead Wide Flat Nose Gas Check Box of 20

The Grizzly 44 Special 260gr Cast Performance Lead Wide Flat Nose is a heavy field and defense load. Above all, its wide flat nose profile is built for straight-line penetration. Grizzly Cartridge Company, a small Montana ammunition maker, specializes in hard-hitting handgun loads.

Why Choose a Wide Flat Nose Gas Check Bullet

This bullet’s extra-wide flat nose punches a broad, straight wound channel through muscle and light bone. A gas check protects the bullet’s base from the heat of firing, keeping the bore cleaner. For reference, every round is loaded to SAAMI-checked pressure limits, referenced at saami.org. Ultimately, this load suits hunters who value penetration over expansion.

About This Grizzly 44 Special 260gr Cast Performance Lead Wide Flat Nose Load

At 260 grains, this is one of the heavier loads offered in this caliber. That extra mass helps drive the bullet deep on small to medium game or in a defensive scenario. Overall, it remains a favorite among hunters who carry a 44 Special as a woods gun. Similarly, it performs well as a dependable truck-gun round for rural properties. It also works well in longer-barreled revolvers chasing extra velocity.

It also performs well as backup protection while hiking in rural areas. Many outdoorsmen keep a box loaded in their pack for peace of mind.
