Federal 100M Primer Case: Match Grade Design

Federal builds these match grade pistol primers to closer tolerances than standard production runs. Reloaders who compete regularly notice the difference in group size and repeatability. The Federal Gold Medal 200M Match Primers offer a magnum alternative built to the same standard.

Federal 100M Primer Case: Lot Testing

Each production run undergoes extra quality checks before release. That process gives handloaders uniform lot to lot consistency they can build a load around without re-testing every time. This matters most when zeroing in on a load node for a specific barrel.

Federal 100M Primer Case: Built for Competitors

Bullseye, PPC, and precision pistol shooters make up much of the market for serious match shooter primers like this one. Many competitors pair this primer with the CCI Small Pistol Primers #500 for side-by-side lot testing before a big match.

Consistent Ignition Under Pressure

Competition schedules leave little room for a primer that underperforms. These reliable bullseye competition primers ignite cleanly at the lower power factors many pistol disciplines require.

Federal 100M Primer Case: Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store these primers safely at home?

Federal Gold Medal 100M Match Primers belong in their original packaging, away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Primers are sensitive to impact and friction, so keep them in a cool, dry cabinet. The NSSF safety page offers guidance on storing reloading components.

Which cartridges typically use this primer size?

Federal Gold Medal 100M Match Primers fit any cartridge that calls for a small pistol primer, including 9mm Luger, .38 Special, and .45 ACP. Reloaders working up loads for these cartridges sometimes also test the Remington Small Pistol Primers #1-1/2 for comparison.

How does this differ from a standard or magnum primer?

Federal Gold Medal 100M Match Primers use a standard-pressure priming mix rather than the hotter compound found in magnum variants. Shooters loading light target charges typically get more consistent results from a standard match primer like this one.

What quantities are these primers sold in?

Federal Gold Medal 100M Match Primers ship in standard factory trays for easy inventory and seating. Liberty Anno Supply lists available pack sizes on this product page, with pricing updated regularly.

How long can I keep these primers before they go bad?

Federal Gold Medal 100M Match Primers remain reliable for decades when stored properly in a cool, dry, low-humidity environment. Rotating older stock to the front helps maintain consistent ignition over time.
