Hornady Custom Ammunition 480 Ruger 325 Grain XTP Jacketed Hollow Point Box of 20

Hornady Custom Ammunition 480 Ruger 325 Grain XTP Jacketed Hollow Point Box of 20 pairs Hornady’s proven XTP bullet with a big-bore revolver cartridge built for serious hunting and defense against dangerous game. The XTP’s exclusive Sure Feed profile ensures reliable feeding while its jacket and core stay bonded through expansion. Hornady tuned this loading specifically for the velocity and pressure of 480 Ruger.

Proven XTP Performance in a Big-Bore Cartridge

As a result, hunters who want reliable, controlled expansion often choose this loading over non-expanding hard cast options. The 325 grain weight balances expansion against the deep penetration this cartridge is known for. Meanwhile, Hornady maintains tight quality control on every batch loaded at its facility.

About This Hornady Custom Ammunition 480 Ruger 325 Grain XTP Jacketed Hollow Point Box of 20 Load

Hornady built its reputation on consistent expansion testing across real barrier materials, not just bare gelatin. For reference, this loading suits hunting medium to large game rather than dangerous-game backup defense, since XTP bullets expand rather than penetrate straight. Therefore, many owners pair this loading with a hard cast round for backup.
