Buffalo Bore Ammunition 45 Auto Rim (Not ACP) 225 Grain Hard Cast Lead Wadcutter Box of 20

The Buffalo Bore 45 Auto Rim 225 Grain Hard Cast Lead Wadcutter delivers dependable performance for shooters who want repeatable results. Buffalo pairs a 225-grain hard cast lead wadcutter projectile with quality brass casings and clean-burning propellant. As a result, this load gives revolver shooters clean, sharp-edged hole punching for easy scoring on every trigger pull. Specifically, this loading suits precision target and bullseye competition shooting.

About This Buffalo Bore Load

Buffalo built its reputation on tight manufacturing tolerances and consistent quality control. This 45 Auto Rim offering reflects that same standard. The factory sizes and primes each rimmed case for reliable chambering across a wide range of revolvers originally built around the .45 Colt platform. Additionally, the plant meters every propellant charge carefully, so velocities stay consistent from lot to lot. Therefore, shooters loading this 225 grain hard cast lead wadcutter round can expect uniform cycling and consistent cylinder timing. In short, this ammunition delivers the shot-to-shot consistency that makes practice sessions and function testing meaningful.

Ballistic Performance and SAAMI Specifications

Buffalo manufactures every round in this line to SAAMI’s published specifications for the 45 Auto Rim cartridge, a rimmed round distinct from the semi-rimmed .45 ACP despite sharing the same bullet diameter. This ensures safe chamber pressures and reliable dimensional compatibility with SAAMI-spec revolvers. For example, handloaders working up their own 225 grain projectiles often reference this factory loading’s published velocity as a useful benchmark. However, chronograph results can vary by barrel length. Therefore, always verify velocity and function in your own firearm before relying on this load for hunting or defensive use.

Boxes ship in standard quantities of 20 rounds, which makes restocking for range day simple.
