CCI 300 Primer Case: Seating Feel

A reliable brass seating fit makes priming sessions go faster at the bench. Consistent cup dimensions reduce the chance of a high or crushed primer. Reloaders who prime by hand notice the difference right away.

CCI 300 Primer Case: Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store these primers safely at home?

CCI 300 Large Pistol Primers belong in their original packaging, away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Primers are sensitive to impact and friction, so keep them in a cool, dry cabinet. The NSSF safety page offers guidance on storing reloading components.

Which cartridges typically use this primer size?

CCI 300 Large Pistol Primers fit any cartridge that calls for a large pistol primer, including .45 ACP, .44 Magnum, and 10mm Auto. Reloaders working up loads for these cartridges sometimes also test the Winchester Large Pistol Primers #7 for comparison.

When should I choose a magnum primer instead?

CCI 300 Large Pistol Primers cover standard-pressure loads, not magnum-specific charges. Heavy charges of slow-burning powder usually call for a dedicated magnum primer instead. Always follow published load data rather than substituting primer types. For a lower-cost large pistol option, see the White River Energetics Large Pistol Primers.

What quantities are these primers sold in?

CCI 300 Large Pistol Primers ship in standard factory trays for easy inventory and seating. Liberty Anno Supply lists available pack sizes on this product page, with pricing updated regularly.

How long can I keep these primers before they go bad?

CCI 300 Large Pistol Primers remain reliable for decades when stored properly in a cool, dry, low-humidity environment. Rotating older stock to the front helps maintain consistent ignition over time.
