Underwood Xtreme Defender Ammunition 45 GAP 120 Grain Lehigh Xtreme Defense Lead-Free Box of 20

Underwood Xtreme Defender Ammunition 45 GAP 120 Grain Lehigh Xtreme Defense Lead-Free Box of 20 pairs Underwood’s high-velocity loading philosophy with Lehigh’s fluted, lead-free monolithic bullet. The Xtreme Defender’s sharp flutes cut permanent wound channels without relying on expansion, so the bullet performs consistently through barriers that can clog a hollow point. Underwood loads this 45 GAP round to velocities well above typical factory offerings for this cartridge.

Fluted Monolithic Design for Consistent Terminal Effect

As a result, shooters who want defensive performance that does not depend on expansion often choose this loading. The lead-free construction avoids the fouling and toxicity concerns of traditional lead-core bullets. Meanwhile, Underwood hand-inspects each loaded round for consistent charge weight and overall cartridge length.

About This Underwood Xtreme Defender Ammunition 45 GAP 120 Grain Lehigh Xtreme Defense Lead-Free Box of 20 Load

Underwood built its reputation on pushing conventional pistol cartridges to their pressure ceiling for maximum terminal performance. For reference, this loading suits daily carry rather than casual range use, since specialty defensive rounds cost more than practice ammunition. Therefore, many owners pair this loading for carry with a full metal jacket round for practice.
