Remington Core-Lokt Tipped Ammunition 308 Winchester 165 Grain Polymer Tip pairs Remington’s Core-Lokt Tipped line with a polymer-tipped update to the classic Core-Lokt bullet. The polymer tip improves the bullet’s ballistic coefficient while the mechanically locked core remains unchanged.

A Polymer-Tipped Update to a Classic Design

Meanwhile, the tapered jacket still locks tightly to the lead core through impact. This combination gives hunters a flatter trajectory alongside the Core-Lokt’s proven expansion. As a result, longtime Core-Lokt users often trust this updated loading.

About This Remington Core-Lokt Tipped Ammunition 308 Winchester 165 Grain Polymer Tip Load

Remington built the Core-Lokt Tipped line to modernize its classic bullet without changing its core promise. For reference, this loading suits deer and similar game at typical hunting range. Therefore, many hunters keep a box of this loading on hand for opening day.

Remington manufactures this bullet with the same mechanically locked core as the original Core-Lokt. This particular loading remains a favorite among hunters who want a modernized classic. Hunters loyal to the Core-Lokt name often choose this newer tipped version.
