Mossy Oak Pattern Concealment on Every Shell

A printed camo hull isn’t just cosmetics — it keeps glare and color contrast down inside a blind or ground pit. This mossy oak pattern concealment matches the brand’s proven camo schemes, so the load blends with your gear instead of standing out in bright morning light. Hunters wanting the same blend in a different gauge can compare it against the 12 Gauge Greenleaf version.

A Dual Pellet Size Blend Built for Turkey Vitals

Mixing #9 and #10 tungsten shot in one shell gives this dual pellet size blend denser overall coverage than a single pellet size alone. The smaller #10 pellets fill pattern gaps while #9 pellets carry a bit more punch, producing a lethal combination on head and neck shots.

Reliable Spring Season Performance in the Field

Spring gobbler season is short, and a missed pattern can cost a hunter the whole week. This load’s reliable spring season performance comes from consistent quality control on every batch, so pattern density stays predictable from the first box to the last. Hunters running a standard load instead can also look at the Apex Turkey TSS 20 Gauge option.

Why Hunters Pick This Trusted Camouflage Finish Shell

Small details add up in the turkey woods, and a trusted camouflage finish shell is one more edge against a bird’s excellent eyesight. Beyond the finish, the tungsten payload inside still does the heavy lifting when a shot presents itself.

Apex #9 #10 Greenleaf Load FAQ

What’s the benefit of a camo-finished shell?

Apex Greenleaf 20 Gauge Camo shells reduce glare and visual contrast compared to plain brass or plastic hulls, which matters when a shell is visible in a blind bag or ground pit. It’s a small edge, but turkeys notice small things.

How does the dual pellet blend affect range?

For effective range, the Apex Greenleaf 20 Gauge Camo blend patterns reliably out to about 35-40 yards through a turkey-rated choke, with the mixed pellet sizes maintaining density at the pattern edge. Most hunters find their sweet spot closer to 30 yards.

Is this load safe for a standard 20 gauge 3-inch chamber?

Apex Greenleaf 20 Gauge Camo shells are built as standard 3-inch loads, so any shotgun chambered for 3-inch 20 gauge shells cycles them without modification. Always check your specific chamber length before firing any new load.

How should these shells be stored between seasons?

When it comes to storage, the Apex Greenleaf 20 Gauge Camo load keeps best in a cool, dry cabinet away from direct sunlight and temperature swings. Following NSSF’s ammunition storage guidelines helps every box stay reliable season after season.

Why pick a blended shot size over a single size?

Blending two pellet sizes trades a small amount of maximum range for denser, more forgiving patterns at typical turkey distances. Many hunters prefer that tradeoff for 20 gauge turkey hunting where shots often come inside 35 yards.
