Underwood Ammunition 357 Sig 115 Grain Lehigh Xtreme Penetrator Lead-Free Box of 20

Underwood Ammunition 357 Sig 115 Grain Lehigh Xtreme Penetrator Lead-Free Box of 20 uses a solid-copper, non-expanding penetrator bullet that cuts a large, permanent wound channel without mushrooming. Because the fluted nose displaces tissue outward as it travels, this load keeps its performance consistent through denim, drywall, or auto glass. Underwood drives this 115 grain projectile to high velocity, which keeps the trajectory flat at typical defensive distances.

Solid-Copper Barrier Penetration

As a result, shooters who prioritize consistent penetration over expansion often choose this load, particularly for vehicle-related defensive scenarios. The lead-free build also avoids the fouling and toxicity concerns that come with traditional lead-core hollow points. Meanwhile, the moderate bullet weight balances penetration depth against manageable recoil in a compact service pistol.

About This Underwood Ammunition 357 Sig 115 Grain Lehigh Xtreme Penetrator Lead-Free Box of 20 Load

Underwood loads each round in small batches and pays close attention to case prep and powder charge consistency. For reference, penetrator-style bullets like this one address the plugging failures that clothing-clogged hollow points can suffer. Consequently, many shooters keep a box on hand specifically for winter carry, when heavy layers show up more often.
